Deep in the Heart of Texas

Where Hill Country meets West Texas. We are a modest 1,100 acre ranch located in the rolling hills at the headwaters of the San Saba river in Fort McKavett, Texas. Our spring fed rivers nourish a variety of game including Axis Deer, Whitetail Deer, Rio Grande Turkey, wild hogs, waterfowl, foxes, raccoons, and bobcats.

Axis Deer

Native to India the Axis Deer was introduced to Texas in the 1930s. Our Axis are free ranging and thrive in the area due to similarities to their native habitat. Peak rut behavior can be witnessed throughout the Summer months. Our hunts are entirely low fence, fair chase, and offered in a few different forms. Spot and stalk, sitting in blinds on water/feed locations and safari style at night with thermal imaging equipment.

Whitetail Deer

Our Whitetail hunts take place from October to early January. We predominantly hunt out of Ranch King hunting blinds distributed throughout the property. Our native Whitetail genetics boast strong Hill Country caliber deer supported by year-round supplemental feeding.

Our hunts are typically a 3 day 2 night stay with five star lodging amenities.

Rio Grande Turkey

Rio Grande Turkey hunting on the San Saba river is one of the hallmarks of what we do here at the ranch. The month of April is filled with a variety of color phase wild flowers, spring thunder storms, and fired up Gobblers. We can offer fully guided turkey hunting or DIY.

Wild Hogs

There is truly no shortage of Wild pigs on the ranch at all times, all seasons. Encountering Wild Hogs is a common experience that can happen anywhere on the ranch. We pursue them with a variety of forms including bow, rifle, and thermal imaging at night. Come kill your trophy boar with us!
